Our purpose
VietnamScape is an independent Vietnam travel-planning website. Our aim is to help travelers make practical decisions about destinations, trip length, accommodation areas, transport, activities, food and other parts of planning a Vietnam trip.
How we research information
For information that can materially affect a trip, we prefer primary and official sources where they are available. Depending on the topic, that can include government guidance, transport operators, airports, accommodation or activity providers and other first-party sources. We may also use reputable secondary sources to add context.
Travel information changes. Visa rules, schedules, opening hours, weather, prices, availability and booking conditions should always be checked again with the relevant official authority or provider before a traveler commits money or makes a time-sensitive decision.
How recommendations are selected
Destination, hotel, activity and itinerary recommendations are organized around trip-planning usefulness rather than simply around whether an affiliate link is available. Factors can include location, route fit, likely time required, convenience, traveler type and how naturally an option fits the surrounding itinerary or destination.
A commercial relationship does not buy a favorable editorial ranking. If VietnamScape ever publishes paid placement or sponsored editorial material, it should be identified clearly.
Affiliate links and commercial independence
Some pages contain affiliate links. VietnamScape may receive a commission when a reader follows an eligible link and completes a qualifying purchase or booking, at no additional cost because of the referral. Review and update process
Core destination, itinerary, accommodation and activity templates display a visible review date. We refresh content when important planning information changes, when a page is materially expanded, or when reader feedback and search-performance data reveal a useful gap to address.
A review date is not a guarantee that every external price, schedule or availability detail remains unchanged after that date. It indicates when the page was last reviewed against VietnamScape's editorial standards.
Use of digital tools
Digital tools may assist with research organization, drafting, editing, data checks and technical quality assurance. Published pages are still reviewed for relevance, clarity, internal consistency and alignment with the standards described on this page.
Corrections
If you notice a factual error, outdated detail or broken link, email[email protected]. Useful corrections are reviewed and incorporated when appropriate.
What VietnamScape is not
VietnamScape is not an official tourism authority, government agency, airline, hotel, tour operator or booking platform. Travelers remain responsible for confirming current entry requirements, booking terms, safety information and other time-sensitive details with the relevant source.
